What is a "work of feminist" literature on film?

Feminism is a movement that seeks justice and the end of sexism for all women. "North Country" is a film of literature that explores feminism in many aspects. It depicts the hardship women face or faced in the workforce and the inequalities they face between men. It explores the abuse a women experiences as a wife, co-worker, student, and most importantly for being a female. This work of literature on film represents the difference between male and a female and what feminism really is out to change.

  1. Your basic definition of a feminist text as being something that mobilizes us politically to action is a good starting point. The film "North Country" is an excellent example.
